GW Group has agreed to the terms and conditions of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS/WEEE) directive 2002/95/EC. To promote the environmentally safe recovery and disposal of electrical waste and electronic equipment, RoHS has presented a number of stipulations requiring the use of hazardous substances in the manufacturing, trading, and processing of these technologies.
GW Group is proactively combating environmental pollution by the development of specific measures to ensure worldwide conformance. GW Group understands the significance of the current strategies in place globally, and the positive impact of safer alternatives to the current controlled substances listed as the following:

Mercury and mercury compounds

Hexavalent chromium compounds

Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated Diphenylethers (PBDE)

Cadmium and cadmium compounds
If present in electrical and electronic equipment, the maximum permissible concentration value (MCV) of hazardous substances is 0.1% by weight in homogenous materials for the foregoing compounds, biphenyls, and diphenyl ethers, with the exception of cadmium and cadmium compounds (which have a MCV of 0.01%) and mercury and mercury compounds in small fluorescent lamps, which have an MCV of ≤ 5 mg. The following outlines our production deadlines:
- All existing standard modules will be compliant no later than January 1, 2008.

All existing customized modules will progress towards RoHS Compliance, based on customer requirement. Unless unacceptable for a customer requirement, all custom modules will be RoHS compliant no later than January 1, 2008.
- All new custom module developments will automatically be developed RoHS Compliant.
When obtaining sample approval, we require that all clients provide all extenuating criterion one month in advance, as well as provide special parts for sample approval, which already conform to the RoHS standards, as stated above.
